The Biennial of the Americas presents the Americas COVID-19 Memorial, an artist-driven exhibit acknowledging the grave impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the Americas. While the Americas account for approximately 13% of the world’s population it has experienced nearly 50% of the world’s COVID-19 deaths, with over 1.9 million lives lost. Featuring artwork from 21 artists across the Western Hemisphere that address this disproportionate impact, this exhibition aims to serve as a space for shared reflection, collective grieving, and healing through art.
