October 10, 2024-January 26, 2025
This exhibit presents the profound traces left by migrants, their integration into new communities, and the unexpected journeys they endure. Emphasizing the sensations of migration—defined as the impressions from sensory to the psychological impact of significant events— it is an exploration on how art captures these experiences. The artworks invite us to engage deeply with the realities of Latin American migration to the U.S. By experiencing this ongoing and transformative phenomenon, the exhibit underscores its historical significance and its role in shaping the future trajectories.
Curated by Rocio Guerrero Mondoño and featuring work by Baltazar Castellano Melo, Sisel Lan, Jaime Belkind-Gerson, Erika Harssh, Barry Wolfryd, Héctor De Anda, Monica Lozano, Dr. Adriana Alvarez, Mabel Weber, Iris Morales, and Julio Morales.
