Join Mexico City-based guest curator Rocío Guerrero and artists Adriana Alvarez and Monica Lozano for a special tour of “Migrants: A Tale of Two Hearts” at Museo de la Américas.
Migration can be seen as one of the most current and ancient practices of humankind. Our Migrants exhibition presents the profound traces left by migrants; their integration into new communities and the unexpected journeys they endure. The sensory and psychological impact of these significant events are captured through contemporary artworks that invite the viewer to engage with the realities of Latin American migration to the U.S.
This event is hosted by the Colorado Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (CCNMWA). Proceeds support Colorado’s participation in the National Museum of Women in the Arts’ Women to Watch triennial exhibition that features up-and-coming women and nonbinary artists from around the globe.
